HCO Private Wealth follows a comprehensive client discovery process designed to help you discover your short and long term goals and objectives while also identifying areas of concern and opportunity. Our process enables us to design a custom wealth management plan for you that addresses investments, advanced financial strategies, Expert Team collaboration, and charitable and philanthropic objectives.
2nd Opinion Service
Most clients who come to HCO Private Wealth are typically looking for a 2nd opinion on their current situation. Our guided Discovery Meeting is the first step and involves an in-depth interview and document collection process that enables us to build your detailed financial picture, summary of resources, areas of concern and focus, including your values, goals, and family dynamics that make up a solid wealth management plan.
The second meeting in HCO Private Wealth’s method focuses on delivering preliminary findings. The goal is to determine if we can add significant value to your existing situation such that a change is merited. Given our select clientele, we also want to ensure that there is a mutual fit. In the event that we are not the right firm for you, we will gladly provide the names of other advisors and firms in the area that may prove a better option.
Unlike the big presentations and bound books of yesteryear, our findings meeting is structured as a presentation. The take-away report is brief, concise, and contains actionable steps around such areas as investments, tax strategy, asset protection, estate planning, banking, and more.
After a suitable amount of time to analyze your data, we reach out to you regarding the next step, and if appropriate, schedule an in-person or online Engagement Meeting. At this meeting, we will complete all necessary paperwork to start your engagement, open, fund, and transfer accounts, as well as sign the necessary information sharing releases to permit collaboration with our Expert Team of Attorneys, CPAs, Bankers and other financial specialists as mandated by your situation and your HCO Private Wealth plan.
Following the engagement, we consult with the members of our Expert Team and prioritize the logical action areas around our Advanced Plan; Asset Protection, Wealth Maximization, Wealth Transfer, and Charitable Giving. These action items become the agenda items for future Quarterly Strategy Sessions and may involve action items accomplished directly with HCO Private Wealth, or in concert with the members of our Expert Team of external professionals and specialists.
Quarterly Strategy Session
Once every quarter, we identify a topic in your advanced plan to focus on for the quarter. In many cases, we can work collaboratively with members of your existing team as well as our Professional Network to research options, conduct analysis, and prepare alternatives for you to review during a brief phone call or online presentation. Topics covered during these sessions might include unique tax strategies, insurance reviews, legal updates, and more.
Once a year, we insist on a more comprehensive review of your wealth management plan to track your progress towards achieving your personal, financial, and strategic goals. These meetings are typically performed in person at our offices, but can also be accomplished via an online meeting.
